The practice of Adv. Kgalalelo Matabane
Is a Pretoria-based legal practice with its primary focus on Family and Child Law, supported by extensive experience in related areas of law that frequently intersect with family disputes. Since its establishment in 2022, the practice has developed into a stable and reputable legal practice characterised by ethical conduct, thorough preparation, and principled advocacy.
From July 2022 to December 2025, the practice operated as a referral advocate practice, rendering advocacy services through attorneys. With effect from January 2026, the practice converted to a trust account advocate practice, enabling direct engagement with members of the public while maintaining strict compliance with the Legal Practice Act and the Rules of the Legal Practice Council.
The practice is committed to providing clear legal guidance, realistic advice, and structured legal solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on matters involving children, maintenance, parental responsibilities and rights, and the protection of vulnerable persons.

About Adv. Kgalalelo Jennifer Matabane
Adv. Kgalalelo Jennifer Matabane is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, practising in Pretoria, Gauteng. She was admitted on 18 July 2022, without pupillage.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from North-West University and is currently an LLM candidate at the University of South Africa (UNISA), specialising in Family Law, with academic focus on Divorce Law and Child Law.
Her professional background includes experience within the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, where she served as a Maintenance Officer Intern, gaining direct exposure to maintenance court proceedings, public consultations, drafting of court orders, summonses, and enforcement mechanisms.
She also gained experience in private legal practice during her period as a candidate attorney, where she was involved in divorce matters, civil and criminal litigation, labour disputes, and CCMA proceedings.
Since commencing practice as a referral advocate in October 2022, Adv. Matabane has been actively involved in litigation and advisory work across family law, labour law, administrative law, and contractual matters. Her work includes drafting pleadings and affidavits, providing legal opinions, conducting legal research, appearing in court, and negotiating settlements. She is fluent in English, Setswana, isiZulu, and Sotho, enabling effective communication with a diverse client base. Her practice is characterised by professionalism, empathy, meticulous preparation, and strict ethical compliance.
